black law students' association of mcgill
The Black Law Students’ Association of McGill (BLSAM) is a student-run official organization dedicated to supporting Black law students at McGill University. Established in 2005, BLSAM is the first Black Law Students' Association of Canada (hereinafter BLSA Canada), a national not-for-profit organization founded in 1991 to identify and address systemic barriers to Black individuals' access to legal education and the legal profession.

Entretenir un esprit communautaire et des liens relationnels solides entre les étudiant.es noir.es en droit;
Provide a networking system for Black law students that fosters the exchange of ideas and resources;
Instill in the Black law student a greater awareness and commitment to the needs of the Black community;
Increase access, representation, retention of Black law students in legal education and the legal profession.
The legal system can force open doors and sometimes even knock down walls. But it cannot build bridges. That job belongs to you and me.
